Keep reading to learn more about Joel, Janice, Steffanie, Ana, and Alan.
Joel
Meet Joel, Executive Director Sales & Marketing for the Real Estate Division of Encore Capital Management. Originally from the NY/NJ area, Joel began his career in aviation, and obtained his pilot’s license at 19 years old! He got his start in real estate within the vacation ownership segment where he held front line sales, and then progressed from sales director to president on teams that earned the American Resort Developments Association’s (ARDA) Project Gold Award two times and the Project Silver Award for top performance in the industry.
Joel was named Florida Home Builders Association Marketing Executive of the Year in 2004 and Children’s Home Society-Board Member of the Year in 2006. His team was honored with the International Real Estate Trade Organization-Sales & Marketing Company of the Year at ULI in 2007. Joel launched the Encore product line at the Reunion Resort and led the Encore marketing effort for the first ever Margaritaville branded Cottages from 2019-2020.
Aside from his professional successes, Joel is the single father of two daughters, Shayna, who graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University, and Jade, a Junior at Florida State University. In his free time, Joel enjoys working out, Disc Golf, Travel, Flying, Skiing and real estate investing.
Janice
Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Janice is our team’s office manager handling personnel and contracts. Previously, Janice traveled the world pursuing her modelling career, and has lived in Greece, Spain, Italy, Japan, Taipei, Canada, and California before landing in sunny Florida. She also owned and operated a high-end salon in Cleveland, and is an award-winning actress appearing in over 100 domestic and international commercials. Janice enjoys competitive tennis, baking and decorating cakes, traveling, and being a mom to her two amazing children.
Steffanie
Steffanie began her real estate career in 2007, starting with the timeshare industry and then moving onto Park Square Homes selling vacation properties to people from all over the world. Prior to joining our Embassy Suites by Hilton™ Orlando Sunset Walk team, she worked for ARHomes (Arthur Rutenberg Homes) selling luxury custom homes to local central Floridians. Now a resident of Florida for almost 35 years, she has seen the amazing growth in Orlando and the surrounding cities!
Steffanie loves sharing her knowledge with investors and families of what the #1 vacation destination in the world along with a world class development has to offer to its vacationers and investors.
Ana
Ana, originally from Bogota, Colombia, moved to the US in 2016 to study economics and MIS where she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University! She speaks Spanish (very fast), English, Italian and is currently learning Portuguese and loves to help and work with clients from all over the world. Ana loves animals, the beach, and traveling. Don’t hesitate before asking for any travel tips while you are in town, she loves to share about everything that Central Florida has to offer.
Ana is passionate about real estate and is our onsite bilingual member of the amazing team here at Embassy Suites by Hilton™ Orlando Sunset Walk.
Alan
As our consultant in Colombia, Alan Medellin oversees sales in Latin America. Based in Bogota, Alan is responsible for the development of strategic partnerships with real estate agents and brokerage firms in the region.
Prior to joining our team, Alan was the Director of Sales for Latin America at The Grove Resort and also worked with one of Brazil’s largest developers of vacation homes in the US. He also worked for real estate development firms based in Colombia and owned his own real estate company in Bogota. Alan has more than 10 years of experience in the real estate market and has transacted business with buyers from all over the world, especially from the U.S. and Latin America. Over the years, he has trained more than 200 real estate agents throughout Latin America! He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management.
In his free time, Alan loves spending time with his family, traveling around the world, playing tennis, and visiting theme parks of Disney.
